All votes on hand for the divisions of Blain, Braitling, Karama, Katherine and Nhulunbuy have now been counted with the exception of 17 Braitling votes cast at interstate early voting centres.

These will be counted later this week when they are received by the Alice Springs NTEC office.
Postal votes not yet received are the only other votes remaining to be counted.
Postal votes are accepted until noon on Friday 9 September.
The divisions where the margin is over 100 votes in the two candidate preferred counts are Arafura, Araluen,
Arnhem, Barkly, Brennan, Casuarina, Daly, Drysdale, Fannie Bay, Fong Lim, Goyder, Johnston, Namatjira, Nelson, Nightcliff, Port Darwin, Sanderson, Spillett, Stuart and Wanguri.
The outstanding postal votes in these divisions will not change the outcome.
The divisions where the margin is less than 100 votes in the two candidate preferred counts are Blain, Braitling, Karama, Katherine and Nhulunbuy.
The vote margin and outstanding postal votes for these divisions are as follows:
In Katherine the vote margin now stands at 39 with 87 outstanding postal votes.
In Blain, the vote margin is 97 with 57 outstanding postal votes, in Braitling the vote margin is 25 with 81 outstanding postal votes and 17 interstate pre poll.
In Karama the vote margin is 58 with 45 outstanding postal votes while in Nhulunbuy the vote margin is 22 with 67 outstanding postal votes.
It is important to note that not all postal votes will be returned. In the 2012 Territory election, 71% of postal votes were returned and admitted to the count.
To date, 70% of the issued postal votes for the 2016 Territory election have been returned.
In accordance with the Electoral Commission’s recount policy, any division with a margin of less than 100 votes will be recounted.
The recount in these divisions will commence early next week. The recount for the Division of Braitling will be conducted in Alice Springs and the recounts for Blain, Karama, Katherine and Nhulunbuy will be conducted in Darwin.
The full distribution of preferences for all divisions will be concluded by Friday 9 September 2016. The declaration of the election results will be conducted at the NTEC Darwin office at 10:00 am on Monday 12 September.
