A meagre but welcome total of 1.2mm was officially recorded by the Bureau of Meteorology from last night.
The thunderstorm activity last night between 10pm and midnight meant total falls varied widely across the district.
Batchelor scored the NT’s top with 23.8mm and Darwin had just over 14mm in some areas.
The Bureau of Meteorology says there is the chance of more thunderstorms for Katherine today and unsettled weather is expected to continue into the week.
