Two women were arrested for selling liquor without a licence in Katherine South on December 29.

Police apprehended the women after observing a third person – known to be a banned drinker – enter a residence and leave soon after with a shopping bag containing alcohol.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Malogorski said the property was searched soon after.
Police seized a quantity of alcohol, cash and fireworks.

“This was a substantial seizure and police urge the public to contact Crime Stoppers with any information of people selling liquor illegally in the NT,” Det. Sen-Sgt Malogorski said.
A 43-year-old woman was bailed to appear in court.
A 25-year-old woman was issued a Notice to Appear.
“Katherine Police will continue to target people selling liquor without a liquor licence in the Katherine region,” Det. Sen.-Sgt Malogorski said.
