Volunteers from Katherine scoured a rubbish tip yesterday trying to help solve the puzzling disappearance of Paddy Moriarty.
NTES volunteers joined police from Katherine and Darwin in a further search for Mr Moriarty who went missing several weeks ago from Larrimah.
Mr Moriarty was last seen at the Larrimah Hotel at 6pm on Saturday, December 16.

A comprehensive land and air search has not found any sign of Mr Moriarty or his dog Kellie.
Yesterday, police and NTES volunteers from Katherine and Darwin searched the Larrimah rubbish tip for any clues into Mr Moriarty’s disappearance.
Detective Sergeant Matthew Allen said it was not pleasant work on a hot day.
“The rubbish dump is an area of interest and I would like to thank our teams for their efforts today.
“I would also like to thank the level of cooperation we are receiving from the local communities and businesses as we continue our search for Paddy.”
Mr Moriarty is described as Caucasian, 70 years of age, medium build with tanned appearance, around 178cm tall with short black/grey hair and a moustache.
He was wearing dark-coloured shorts, singlet, thongs and a baseball style cap. It is possible he was in company with his red Kelpie.
Anyone with information is urged to notify police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 to assist police with their enquiries.
Larrimah is 160km south-east of Katherine with a population of 11.
Detectives would also like to speak with anyone who may have information about a vehicle, or the driver, of a Mitsubishi Delica van.
Police believe the van was in Larrimah from early December to around December 21.
Detective Sergeant Matthew Allen said the driver or any person who has information about this vehicle may be able to assist with the investigation.
“Finding Mr Moriarty remains our top priority, someone out there has information that can help us find Paddy and we urge them to come forward.”
Mr Moriarty lives alone adjacent to the Stuart Highway in Larrimah.
He is a long-term and well-known resident of Larrimah. Investigations have established his absence is out of character as he had a regular routine.
