The Humpty Dumpty Foundation continues to make a real difference to children right across the Northern Territory with Borroloola Health Centre, Gove District Hospital, Katherine Hospital, Robinson River Health Clinic and Wallace Health Centre all receiving much needed medical equipment.
Katherine Hospital will receive a Laryngoscope Set ($1750) and a Paediatric Incubation Trainer Manikin ($4050) to enable medical staff to restore breathing flow in sick infants.
Borroloola Health Centre will receive two RAD-5 Pulse Oximeters (valued at $1,760 each) and Wallace Health Centre will receive one to measure vital signs.
Gove District Hospital will receive a T1 Paediatric Transport Ventilator ($53,250), a Jaundice Detector ($4,780), an AIRVO 2 Humidifier ($2,750) and an EZ-IO Drill and Educator Kit ($1,895).
Robinson River Health Clinic will receive a Connex Vital Signs Monitor ($6,200).
Royal Darwin Hospital’s newly established Neonatal Transport Service will also benefit from the generosity of Humpty’s supporters with the delivery of a Transport Incubator valued at $193,130.
The Neonatal Transport Service will transport critically unwell babies who need life-saving surgery interstate. Currently children need to wait for an interstate transport to pick them up, often delaying their transport at least 24 hours or more. This Transport Incubator allows the team at Royal Darwin Hospital to facilitate swift transport, saving precious hours and ensuring better outcomes for these vulnerable infants.
Humpty Dumpty Foundation Patron Ray Martin AM and Humpty Dumpty Foundation General Manager Julie Abbott recently presented the Transport Incubator to the NT Government.
The donation of the Transport Incubator has been made possible by Humpty’s generous supporters including the Brickacek family, Denis Langley Foundation, John and Cath Murray, John ‘Foxy’ Robinson AO, Lonergan Foundation, MIM Investments Pty Ltd, Minderoo Foundation, National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre, Territory Insurance Office and Peter Roach.
To date, Humpty has raised well over $1 million and donated 140 pieces of essential medical equipment to 45 hospitals and health services across the Northern Territory.
Humpty is committed to its ongoing support of the Northern Territory and on 24 March 24 at SKYCITY will host its second Great Humpty Ball, Darwin event. The black-tie gala dinner hosted by Ray Martin will again fundraise specifically for hospitals in the Northern Territory.
