The Northern Land Council is hosting the private meeting at the McDouall Stuart Hall with a noon lunch and a 1pm start.
Members of a proposed native title claim group are considering pursuing a new native title determination “over land and waters” in and around the town of Katherine.
Included in the proposed native title claim area are the Kintore and Cutta Cutta caves.
A meeting will be held on the morning of March 27 to consider replacing the applicant for the native title claims.
It will 40 years this month since the Jawoyn tribe successfully began its claim for native title over areas of Katherine including Nitmiluk park and the gorge.
