Katherine Regional Arts (KRA) is calling on locals to get creative with junk and scraps in a bid to tackle environmental waste.
KRA is encouraging the region to reflect on how we can reduce waste in our everyday lives.
Artists of all ages and abilities are encouraged to enter their junk sculptures in the competition.
The Junk Sculpture Festival is in its sixth consecutive year and has grown substantially.
Sculpture workshops will be held in May at KRA for people to work on their pieces.
The Festival is on Saturday June 2, at 5pm at the Lindsay Street Complex.
More information can be found on the Katherine Regional Arts Facebook page.
