This year’s Katherine line-up will feature: Sean Choolburra who returns to Katherine with his winning formula of stand-up, funny stories and deadly dancing.
Sean’s career skyrocketed in 2002 after winning the NSW RAW comedy final and he’s never looked back - performing at a host of festivals over the years including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Scottish Storytelling Festival and the Adelaide Fringe Festival to name but a few.
Sean draws on his life experiences as an Aboriginal man growing up Townsville and blends it with his skills as a dancer and didj player.
Dilruk Jayasinha is a regular on the Australian comedy circuit and has toured internationally with headline spots in KL, Penang and Singapore. He’s performed at six Melbourne International Comedy Festivals and in 2017 returned with his completely sold-out smash hit show The Art of The Dil.
Eleanor Tiernan is the queen of the droll and the deadpan, Irish comedian Eleanor Tiernan leaves the comedy clichés at the door. With her unique and off-beat style she takes an ironic look at the world, peppered with personal anecdotes.
Nick Cody has already headlined comedy clubs all over the globe, made his US late night television debut on CONAN, performed at the invite-only Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, appeared on a bunch of televised Comedy Galas at home in Australia and played to packed houses around the world on his solo stand-up tours.
Ben Knight is a musical comedian who draws comedic inspiration from his ten years as a primary school teacher.
Ben has sold out both his 2017/2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival runs and will MC the night in Katherine.
