A 31-year-old woman will face charges after she was found in possession of a trafficable amount of drugs in Tennant Creek yesterday.

Members of the Southern Traffic Operations Unit and the Tennant Creek Crime Unit conducted a roadside search of a vehicle 20km east along the Barkly Highway around 3pm yesterday.
It is alleged police located 471 grams of Cannabis, 1.24grams of amphetamines and drug paraphernalia within the vehicle.
A 31-year-old woman from Queensland who was a passenger in vehicle was charged with one count each of Possess a Trafficable Amount of Cannabis and Possess Amphetamine and has been bailed to appear before the Alice Springs Local Court tomorrow.
The driver, a 54-year-old woman from Queensland was issued a Notice to Appear after returning a positive test for Drug Driving.
Detective A/Sergeant Karl Gundersen said the arrest was a positive outcome for local authorities and a major dent in the supply of drugs within the region.
