So our territory has a new brand, a new colour, and a new motto: Boundless. Possible. I wonder if it will take.
We’re told some of it was to get away from myths like ‘the NT is violent’. But I checked. That’s not a myth – we have a 5 times higher murder rate than the national average. And hopefully it’s not boundless.
Grammar aside (and it clearly is), and statistics too, our territory is a land of opportunity and diversity.
If you have moved here from somewhere else – I wonder what brought you here. And if you’ve stayed, I wonder what keeps you here.
Here’s my reason: the Territory has more people who have no religion than any other state or territory. And less Christians. That means many of you don’t have examples of the difference Jesus makes.
I spend my life with one main aim: to encourage others to take Jesus seriously. That’s why I moved to Katherine. That’s why we’re staying.
We love this town. We pray for this town.
We want you to see that Jesus changes everything.
Imagine the changes to this place if you discovered this for yourself.
Boundless?
Possible?
We think so.
