First we were given “Boundless Possible” for the NT, now Katherine has been offered “A Logistics and Agribusiness Hub”.
The new town and city slogans are part of the government’s Planning for a Vibrant Future plans.
It is a planning document which outlines the vision for the NT which the government said was undertaken in consultation with industry and the community.
In a poll taken online last night, 83 per cent of people did not like it.
Of the 81 who have voted so far, only six said they liked it.
And on the Katherine Times’ Facebook page, residents were taken aback.
There was other suggestions for “K-town”, “Jewel of the North”, “Home of the Gorge”, or “Jesus Loves Nachos”, and even a tongue in cheek, “Don’t leave your house or car unlocked”.
Your can still take the poll.
