NT Police in Katherine are calling for witnesses to a vehicle driving recklessly in the Pine Creek area early yesterday, to contact them.

At 10.55am yesterday, police observed a vehicle stolen from a Katherine residence travelling in the Pine Creek area towards Katherine.
Officers indicated for the vehicle to stop, but it failed to do so resulting in a pursuit.
A Tyre Deflation Device was deployed, successfully deflating a tyre however the pursuit was terminated shortly after for safety reasons.
Just after 11am, officers sighted the vehicle again on the Victoria Highway and after a short pursuit, arrested one of the occupants of the vehicle who is assisting police with enquiries.
A 22-year-old man, believed to be the driver fled the vehicle and remains outstanding.
Police are calling for other motorists who witnessed the reckless driving involving a red Mitsubishi ASX SUV to contact police on 131 444 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Enquiries are still being made into the incident and so no charges have been laid at this time.
