Supporting the Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon campaign, the team’s effort will help beat women's cancers through raising vital funds for prevention programs, support services and cancer research.
Event organiser Helena Henderson said the cause is close to the hearts of each and every person on the team.
“We are all of varying ages and we all know someone with breast cancer or other cancers,” she said.
“In some way or other each one of us has been impacted. Supporting the cause is something we all really believe in.”
With all funds raised through the breakfast staying in the Territory, the team is hoping to support those most in need.
Breast cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in Australia – but with research the outcomes are changing for the positive.
A Cancer Council representative will also be making the trip from Darwin to provide education and raise awareness.
“We want [the Elders Pink Ribbon Breakfast] to be a conversation starter. There is support out there and there are preventative initiatives that can go a long way,” Ms Henderson said.
To beat the heat and catch those early birds before work, the breakfast is being held from 7am to 9am.
“People are already getting excited for our scones, bacon and egg sandwiches and pastries,” Ms Henderson said.
Elders Real Estate is hoping to raise more than $500 to go towards beating women's cancers through prevention and education initiatives.
The breakfast will be held at Elders Real Estate on First Street.
