The steady rain last night brought the November total to 106mm for the month with an average of 93.3mm.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue on for the morning, cooling down the region with a maximum temperature of 35.
The wet and cloudy weather is expected to continue over the weekend with temperatures reaching 35 on Saturday and 36 on Sunday.
Looking ahead for the week, the chances of rain ease off on Monday, and despite the cloudy weather will see the temperature reach a maximum of 38.
The wet season seems to be well and truly starting with rain expected over the next week and temperatures reaching 38 on Tuesday and 35 on Wednesday, before a cool change for Thursday with a maximum temperature of only 33.
