"Thank you to the voters of Lingiari for expressing their confidence in me as their Representative for Lingiari." Mr Snowdon said.
"I will continue to stand up for all the people in this huge and diverse electorate, including Christmas and Cocos Islands."
"I recognise the concerns people have for more jobs and services across the NT, as well as improved business conditions."
"I particularly thank voters in remote areas, where life is even more costly and challenging."
Mr Snowdon said the increased vote from the bush is an absolute repudiation of failed LNP and CLP policies.
"In particular, it is a rejection of their policies on CDP, housing, roads, the Voice to Parliament and much more.
"Even though the Federal Government cut the Australian Electoral Commission, and thereby made enrolment much harder, the remote voice was still loud and clear about what is needed for people in the bush.
"This outcome does not lessen the obligation on the new Federal Government to ensure proper funding for the Australian Electoral Commission to ensure they can do the enrolment and education that is necessary to ensure all are on the roll and can vote.
"Thank you also to the hundreds of people who worked with us on the Lingiari campaign. Without them we could not be successful.
"Thanks also to the Australian electoral officials who administered the election in remote and static booths. Notwithstanding the cuts and understaffing I've referred to, they did their work well and diligently.
"It is a privilege to be back to ensure that there is a strong voice for Lingiari in Canberra."
