A man has been arrested following a spate of attempted break-ins which left multiple businesses in Katherine counting the costs this week.

Police made the arrest yesterday morning after the man allegedly damaged the windows of Katherine's leading fishing store.
Rod and rifle tackle world has been the target of vandals four times this year, despite police officials reporting a decrease in crime.
"A 21-year old man was arrested [yesterday] morning," a NT Police spokesman said.
"The 21-year old is implicated in other damage caused around the area."
Mr de With uploaded CCTV surveillance images and a video on social media of a man attempting to break in, leading to the quick identification of a person.
"I would like the chance to thank the people of Katherine, they were unreal, so much support and help," he said.
A 21-year-old male has been charged on multiple counts, including damage to property, endangering occupants of a car and disorderly behaviour in a public place and in a police station.
"He has been remanded in custody to appear in Katherine local court tomorrow morning," the NT Police spokesman said.
"Two businesses both received broken windows, they weren't unlawfully entered.
"The charges relating to a vehicle involve the male offender allegedly jumping on the bonnet of a vehicle belonging to a separate victim in a nearby carpark and then throwing an item of clothing at the vehicle as it drove from the area."
