It appears of lot of people received her first newsletter who are not Liberal supporters.
Katherine Times received complaints about the newsletter from two readers this week.
One questioned whether the newsletter who using the mailing list of Dr Sam McMahon's former veterinary clinic, and suggested that would be a bit underhanded if it was true.
But Senator McMahon's camp today said it did not access the clinic's mail list.
It also reminded those who received the newsletter, that they could easily hit "unsubscribe" so they didn't receive any more.
The Senator's chief of staff and former CLP director Jason Riley said he had "developed an extensive list of contacts for Senator McMahon over the past several months working for the Senator and the preceding year working for the CLP in my capacity as the Territory Director"
"Tens of thousands of contacts are on that list, sourced from multiple CLP events, campaign events during the Federal election earlier this year, the CLP membership, various CLP branch contact lists, people who have contacted Senator McMahon since she took office, the CLP website, activities conducted by the CLP across multiple regional shows and social media.
"It is reasonable to assume some people would likely have been clients of Senator McMahon's former veterinary practice at some point, especially when you consider the Senator has more than 30 years of practice experience across the whole of the Northern Territory.
"No contacts were drawn from Senator McMahon's veterinary practice.
"It is also important to note the email sent out across the NT this past weekend also included information and a link to enable the recipient to unsubscribe from that distribution list," Mr Riley said.
