The new 200 square metre building would be located in the centre of the hospital complex between the main building, nurses rooms and the kitchen.
A demountable building and a covered walkway in the area would be demolished.
The new building would include four "telehealth ready" consulting rooms, a treatment room (capable of being retrofitted as a dental clinic), a large room for family case conferences, reception and waiting area plus support areas such as ablutions, utility, plant and store rooms.
The Federal Government promised $2.3 million for new Katherine Hospital consulting rooms in the lead up to the last election.
Tenders close on July 8.
