Jawoyn Association chair Lisa Mumbin and mango farmer Ken Rayner have won the honours.
Ms Mumbin's OAM was awarded "for service to the Indigenous community of the Northern Territory".
Mr Rayner's "service to horticulture as a mango breeder" earned him the distinction.
Both are well known in the Katherine community.
Ms Mumbin has been chair of Jawoyn in two stints for about 18 years.
She also chairs the Wurli Wurlinjang Health Service, the Nitmiluk Parks Board and is a director of the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre as well as being a council member of the Northern Land Council.
Mr Rayner has been a mango breeder since 1986 and famously cultivated the RA/17 and R10/8 (Lady Jane and Lady Grace) varieties of mango.
He has been cross-pollinating mango trees for over three decades; with the aim of producing advanced mango rootstocks and creating new varieties.
In 2019 he was awarded the Mango Industry Pioneer award by the Australian Mango Industry Association.
