Police are investigating the circumstances of the fire which badly damaged several businesses.
Police, the NT Government's critical goods functional group and the affected businesses are working to ensure the Tennant Creek community continues to have access to essential food and supplies.
The Tennant Creek IGA has been forced to temporarily close due to the fire.
Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact Police on 131 444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and quote reference number 20183318.
The large fire was first seen at the back of the supermarket on Patterson Street around 7.25pm on Sunday.
The fire at the rear of the building was well underway when crews arrived.
