From 5pm at the Lindsay Street complex, and hosted by Katherine Regional Arts, the event has become a fixture in town attracting more than 1000 people in past years.
In its eighth consecutive year, this champion of recycling is happening a few months later than usual this year because of the pandemic.
Residents are invited to join in the festivities, enjoy the spectacular sculptures and wearable art, live music and entertainment all evening. Prizes galore and the best part ... it's all a load of junk!
Not bad for a town which does not have roadside recycling pick-up for residents.
Prizes include: Best Welded Sculpture, Best Non-Welded Sculpture, Best Functional Sculpture, Best Youth Artwork, Best YoungGuns (under 5) Artwork, Best Junk Fashion and Best Junk Hat (wearable art), and, People's Choice!
