Lease terms for the new kiosk, being located in the Town Square as part of the ongoing $3.5 million development, are for a year with an option of a second year.
Council says the controversial kiosk is a "pivotal component of the Katherine Town Square Revitalisation Project" and the opportunity exists for a "suitable tenant".
"As part of the project, significant infrastructure is included within the opportunity, along with relevant development approval."
Lease documents tendered at last week's council meeting reveal the relocatable kiosk will come outfitted with a high quality coffee machine and other equipment.
All the lease documents and the response form are on council's website: www.katherine.nt.gov.au or by contacting the Council's Customer Service team (08 8972 5500 or records@ktc.nt.gov.au).
Expressions of Interest close 2pm, Monday 30 November 2020, and can be submitted via email, post - PO Box 1071, Katherine NT 0850, in person to the Civic Centre OR online.
"Council invites all interested parties to submit their vision for the space as part of the Expression of Interest process and we look forward to providing a family friendly, vibrant place for the benefit of our local community."
For further further information contact executive manager - Community Services: rosemary.jennings@ktc.nt.gov.au.
Applications will close on Monday, November 30.
