Save the Children has delivered hundreds of packs including items like books, board games and puzzles to help keep kids entertained in Katherine.
More than 1000 more packs are being made up in Darwin today, set for delivery in the surrounding remote communities of Binjari and Rockhole.
Katherine is in lockdown with residents still able to leave home for exercise or to get groceries, while Rockhole and Binjari and in some of the strictest lockdown conditions seen across the country, unable to leave home except for in the event of an emergency.
While essential items like foods have been delivered to homes in impacted communities, Save the Children State Director for NT and WA Noelene Swanson said items to keep children entertained were also important in this time.
