According to NT Police, emergency services were contacted just after 6am on Sunday after a passing motorist came across a wrecked car on Oenpelli Road, around 10km from Jabiru.
The body of a 32-year-old man, believed to be the sole occupant of the car, was found by fire crews on arrival.
The Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating and Oenpelli Road was closed to traffic yesterday.
