The most iconic Katherine race enticed hundreds to the sidelines to cheer on the jockeys.
Open to station and local horses, riders thundered down the track in the hopes of claiming the coveted trophy, prize money and a one-off commemorative horse rug.
This year the Stock Horse Race was run in honour of Dolly’s Dream.
With the Melbourne Cup a highlight of the race day, many sought the chance to have a photo taken in exchange for a gold coin donation.
The funds raised went to the anti-bullying campaign.
In addition race goers supported the cause by wearing blue, Dolly’s favourite colour.
