Painting the Territory as a picturesque adventure for the whole party, Say 'I Do' in the NT is designed to promote the Top End as a distinctive wedding location like no other.
"Want wedding photos that take your breath away? Want to give your guests an experience of a lifetime? Want your marriage to start with an adventure?" the campaign website says.
"If you answered ‘I do’ to any of these questions, you should say 'I do’ in the NT. There are countless iconic destinations from the Red Centre to the Top End that create a backdrop like no other. Start planning the biggest day of your life today. #sayidointheNT."
The campaign, which is part of the NT Government's $103 million Turbocharging Tourism initiative, is expected to draw couples and their guests to Katherine with the website to feature weddings at Nitmiluk National Park, Cicada Lodge and Katherine Outback Experience.

"The campaign’s website features travel ideas, things to do, places to go, and a number of locations for proposals and weddings as well as guides to romantic destinations across the Territory," a Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture spokeswoman said.
"There is also a downloadable planning guide entitled Make the biggest day of your life even bigger," she said.
The website features a list of the top 10 most Instagrammable proposal locations, with Pat’s Lookout, Katherine Gorge making the list.
"Picture enchanting sunsets, draping red dunes and sacred landmarks that are centuries old. There’s no better way to share your life-changing bond than the palatial Northern Territory, where you’re spoilt for backdrops when it comes to popping the question. See our top NT locations for the most paradisiacal places to capture your, 'I said yes'," the website says.
"Gaze out over the picturesque views of Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge at Pat's Lookout. Take advantage of the endless epic photo opportunities: you can walk to the lookout with your boo from the Katherine Visitor Centre, or take the ferry to Southern Rockhole where you can climb to the viewpoint. Either way, there are plenty of insta-worthy locations at this spot to ask for his or her hand."
The NT Government has been pulling out all stops to turn the Top End around from a declining population, from luring people to the NT with cash incentives to spending millions on a re-brand in the hopes of shifting outside perceptions and encouraging people to invest, do business, live and work here.
"Tourism data shows that the visitor spend per person is $1,215," a Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture spokeswoman said.
On the back of the feature film shot in the NT, Top End Wedding, Tourism NT and the Nine network are also giving away a wedding in the Top End worth $55,000.
