Now seen by thousands across the globe at this year's Webfest Berlin, the win could mean big business for the Top End's dwindling tourism industry.
Shining a light on the Territory's unique landscapes Location Scouts follows a millennial and an experienced location scout as they as they roam the Top End in search of the NT's best locations for the Top End Wedding movie.
"The award is a testament to the strength of our partnerships and a strong vision to promote the Territory as a must visit destination," Minister for Tourism, Sport and Culture Lauren Moss said.
"I am proud of the Tourism NT team's continued energy and commitment to cutting through increasing competition and embracing what is unique about the Territory."
The six-part comedy series is part of a suite measures Tourism NT is trying out to entice more people to visit.
From pricey campaigns to new slogans, the government is not leaving any avenue unexplored.
Most recently, Tourism NT released its refreshed brand which promotes the Territory as unlike any other place on earth.
'Different in every sense' replaces the 'Do the NT' brand launched in 2013 and is founded on the controversial "Masterbrand" - Boundless Possible.
This month the NT Government also launched its new tourism strategy, which is expected to create 3900 new tourism jobs by 2030 and up to $3.6 billion in visitor expenditure.
"The Tourism brand is the voice of the Territory as a holiday destination; it is a reflection of how people see our beautiful part of the world," Ms Moss said last week.
"We are operating in a competitive global travel market and this brand puts us on the front foot when it comes to reaching potential visitors.
"The new brand reflects the NT tourism products and services on an experiential level, not just the iconic landmarks and scenery we are already renowned for, and it focuses on how a visit to the Territory makes people feel."
Location Scouts has also been recognised as Best Web Series at the Los Angeles Film Awards in July 2019 and Best of Show at the IndieFEST Film Awards.
