It probably won't last long, and there's not enough to make a puddle but it is a relief to see it again.
Well it's time to dust off your radar apps Katherine.
There are some unexpected storms in the area.
Unexpected for two reasons.
Firstly, many long-timers say it never rains in Katherine during October.
That is clearly wrong because the long-time average suggests it does. Once we even got 166mm, although from a long time.
The second reason is that the Bureau of Meteorology predicted it would rain.
Well, they sort of did.
The bureau said there was a 20 per cent chance of a thunderstorm passing directly over the town.
Most residents know Katherine puts up its force field for these early storms of the wet season so we can watch them sail past.
Anyway, happy watching.
