A young motorcyclist has died in a crash in Noonamah overnight.

According to NT Police, the 22-year-old was riding southbound on the Stuart Highway when a 74-year-old driver crashed into him as he was pulling onto the highway around 7.15pm on Tuesday night.
Emergency services attended the scene, however, the 22-year-old was declared deceased shortly after.
The 74-year-old tested negative for drugs and alcohol and was uninjured.
The highway was blocked until early Wednesday morning but has since reopened.
Major Crash detectives worked through the night to gather evidence at the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
