According to a statement from Katherine Town Council, the library closure will continue for the week of January 10 to 14.
No other Council services have been impacted at this time.
"The closure only impacts library services; residents can still contact Council via the normal customer service mediums," the statement reads.

"All businesses and organisations are being adversely impacted by COVID-19 and are expected to be for some time.
"Council has been preparing for potential staff impacts of COVID-19 and has contingencies in place to limit disruptions to essential services. Council apologises for any inconvenience."
